Life Care Radio is a little bit different!

Life Care Radio is a registered charity relying solely on donations, sponsorship and volunteers. We aim to provide radio entertainment to people who are receiving long term care, whether that is in their own homes, residential, nursing or hospice facilities across the Torbay and South Devon area. Our objective is to alleviate loneliness and isolation whilst providing light-hearted entertainment.

There are a variety of ways that people can listen to our shows. People in their own homes, with access to the internet can simply hit the Listen Live button above or tune in using our very own Life Care Radio app which is available for both IOS and Android. You can also use the Radioline app - just search for Life Care Radio.

Alternatively, we can provide listening units which are pre-programmed to receive our shows and these can be installed free of charge in communal areas of residential, nursing or hospice facilities. All that is required is access to the internet via wifi or router. Internet access or our app enables friends and family to also listen in and interact with their loved ones by making requests or dedications.

Unlike regular radio stations, our volunteers also like to interact personally with our listeners and will go out and collect requests and stories which we can feature in our shows.

We welcome anyone who would like to get involved from presenting shows, collecting requests and fundraising to engineering and day to day admin. There is never a dull moment for the Life Care Team! We also appreciate help from local businesses in the form of sponsorship, raffle prizes, donations and practical support. Any help you can give is vital to our success.
